Everyone sees me as quiet and shy, and I guess I am a little, but a lot goes on in my head that I wish people knew. I am 18 years old and I love Jesus more than anything. I want to serve Him with all my heart and when it's all over hear Him say "Well done."
Most everybody that reads this knows that I am part of a big family -I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. I am so glad that God put me in this family and that I have a chance to know Him and be a part of The Rock Church. God knew what I needed!
I love music and I love to sing. I love to play video games, board games, card games and computer games. I love to read. I love to laugh. I love to listen to stories.
I spend a lot of time with my little sister Julia who was born with Cri du Chat syndrome. She has taught me that even though a person is labeled "disabled" or "handicapped" they are still as precious and valuable as anyone else. That people who are different aren't aliens. She is funny. She has a great personality. She is smart, even though she can't communicate all she knows to us. I do know that we underestimate her a lot, and I am trying to help her develop her full potential. Someday I hope to have a job helping other kids with disabilities, either as a therapist or special needs teacher or aide.
My best bud is Danielle Aston and she has been there for me through thick and thin. I am thankful for her friendship. She is a lot of fun and always has a practical joke in mind. I've heard it said that if you have one good friend in your life you are blessed. I am glad that I found my friend in Danielle!
I am excited about blogging...I can say more things by writing than I can in conversation.
